Thompsons is a family owned and operated business, that was started right here in the beautiful Opotiki region. We are looking for keen team members to join our horticulture teams on a fixed term basis starting immediately and going through until May 2027. This job will take you through our 3 most vital seasons – Winter Pruning & Thinning in Spring/Summer and Harvest.

You will get first-hand practical experience in the field, working on Kiwifruit Orchards in the Opotiki region that we own or manage on behalf of clients.

This suits people who enjoy outdoor work, are motivated and a good team player.

This work involves being on your feet for long periods of time and working with your arms above head and shoulder height for long periods

About the role:

Fixed term starting now to May 2027
Hours of work - 30 hours minimum. Up to 6 days per week (weather dependent)
Pay rate - starting rate $23.95. Contract rate apply during pruning and harvest work

Experience preferred (1 - 2 years minimum)
