Overview

Do you love working outdoors in Kiwifruit Orchards?

Thompson’s Horticulture is looking for additional people to join our local crews in Te Puke and Ōpōtiki.

We can offer you:

Start date - approx 12th Jan 2026
On-the-job training
Pay rate - Minimum $23.50 - $28 (based on the experience you bring to the role)
Transport to work (depending on availability)

We're heading into our summer season so you will get to know more about tasks like cosmetic fruit thinning, kiwifruit canopy management and more about how we set up both our kiwifruit orchards for the upcoming productive harvest season.

Ideally you will have:

1+ years' experience working in the orchards, however this is not essential
demonstrated reliability, determination and motivation
a strong team focus
the legal right to work in NZ
